Oldhall Energy Recovery Facility invites local businesses to ‘Meet the Buyer’

The project team and owners of Oldhall Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) based at the Oldhall Industrial Estate in Irvine, Ayrshire are holding a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event at the Gailes Hotel and Spa, Marine Drive, Irvine, Ayrshire, KA11 5AE on Thursday 21st April 2022 from 10.30 until 18.30.

The Oldhall ERF will generate 17MW of electricity – enough to power 30,000 homes – and will diverting up to 180,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste from landfill annually.

The facility is being developed STC Power as EPC contractor on behalf of Doveryard Limited.  STC Power has recently begun groundworks for the project and will begin demolition in April with civil and structural phases following closely thereafter.  Doveryard Limited is owned by funds managed by Octopus Renewables.

Doveryard Limited and STC Power are keen to work with the local community wherever possible and with that in mind the Oldhall ERF project team are now inviting local suppliers to a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event.  This is an opportunity for local suppliers to meet representatives of the project teams to discuss the project and upcoming opportunities.

This is an open event but visitor numbers will be controlled through the day to support social distancing and to avoid congestion at peak times. Accordingly anyone wishing to attend should register and book a time slot in advance via the eventbrite link

Businesses that are unable to attend, but are still interested in working on the project can email info@oldhallenergy.co.uk with details of the goods and services they offer.
